Somebody mentioned that maybe the tailcap of the TX causes the extra resistence that causes its crappier output and runtime. I wonder if this is true? Seems strange though.
You don't have to buy another light. Contact Gerber and tell em you were on vacation at the Grand Canyon and while doing a battery change on your TX 3.0 the tail cap fell over the edge. Could you please buy a new one. Be creative.....Better yet, tell em your Dawg ate it!
Last time I tried to get parts for one of their lights they made me send in the entire light, my expense, and sent back a replacement that appeared to be open stock not new.
