Here's another custom light I finished up today. I'm quite happy with the way it came out EXCEPT I'd like to smack around the Protection circuit people with there inaccurate specs!!! The protection circuit specs out 5 amps, plus or minus 1 amp. I'm drawing 3.2 amps on high and the protection circuit kicks in within a few seconds. I have some 8 amp units that should take care of this.

Update : the 8 amps protection circuits worked perfectly :)

Unit has a dual stage tailswitch.

Low = 380 Milliamps

High = 3.4 amps (WOW) around 600 lumens!

Yes DD with dual stage (resistored) tailswitch. There is just no good multi brightness boards out there right now for this application.

6 hours on low under an hour on high. But you could never run the light on High continuously because of the heat factor.

Mac,

Is high also resistored? 2x18650 seems too high to DD a WYOS.

Yes High is resistored with a .15 ohm 2 watt resistor.

It kind of suprised me that the Tri-Lux on low drawing 380 milliamp was just as bright as the L2 on high at 1.4 amps.

The Tri-Lux on High well is just stunning :)
