I just recently bought a E1L and I would like to know if I should buy the KL4 for it. How long is the runtime and brightness compared to a stock L4.

Really, though, what are you looking to gain?? Runtime isn't going to be nearly as great as a real L4, brightness depends on if you're in regulation or not and that depends on the particular head you're using and the battery you have.
However, according to your signature you have an E2e. I say heck, pick one up, you can use it on either one and see what you like best..

The KL4 + E1 body will run in regulation on a R123 for about 15 to 20 minutes. I use this combination almost every day.
