Power Outage

Well we had a 6 hour power outage yesterday. A prime opportunity to try out some of my newly acquired lights and lanterns. There was only one problem with this plan ...it was the middle of the day and the power came back on before it got dark. Foiled by the sun.

Yeah... Ours went out at work, but it was daytime and the shop has large windows and skylights. The only dark areas was the bathrooms. It was only out for 2 hours, but since our phone system is not hooked to a UPS system, no phones worked.

I had my power at home blink a few times this year with those several storms midwest heading east, but its only like a few minutes. Regardless I went to find an led light, turn off the automatic filiment lights, grab an old wheelchair battery and inverter and prepare to hook up my fan, tv and floor lamp.
