It was like Christmas at my house today. The Mail Carrier dropped off my package of 20 AAA Sinica 1100 maH Lithium batteries, AND my 4-pack of AA Sanyo Eneloop batteries. Yeeee-Haaw!
The Sinica batteries were purchased on Ebay. $25.99 (Buy-it-now) for a pack of 20 batteries. The downside is the $7.95 UPS shipping charge and the $2.20 California Sales Tax driving the price per unit up to around $1.80. ESPECIALLY since the darned things were only shipped about 30 miles.
Out of package voltage is above 1.8 – similar to the Energizer L92. I popped one in my MillerMods ARC-AAA 3/4 Watt for a runtime test, and was pleasantly surprised. The performance was equal to if not better than the L92 Energizer (which is rated at 1250maH). So far they look like a quality product. Of course, this is a test of only a single battery, and we'd need to wait 15 or 20 years to see if these guys are going to retain the Lithium battery's alleged long life span.
I will post the graph much later this evening when I get home.
