-Osram 64623 HLX Lamp
-GY6.35 Bi-Pin Holder
-Runtime This more of a See what a Mag can do show light. Runtime is around 10 minutes
-This light is NOT a toy. The heat / light this light throws out is unbelievable. Wanna roast some marshmallows.......blow them out when they catch fire!

With the larger hotwire lamps you CANNOT turn the head down all the way as the glass lens will come in contact with the lamp and the lamp will break.


Pricing will be $225 for the light as pictured.(Minus batteries)

Turn Key option which includes the battery charger and 1 set of cells would be around $75 additional.

With the use of Dummy Spacers you could always run the USL 62138 lamp or a multitude of lamps from a 50w 12v, to a mag85 with this setup. The Bi-Pin Holder is a universal style holder which can hold vertually any G4, G5.3, and G6.3 Bi-Pin Lamp.

Hey, can't I just use my Triton with one of those clamps to hold the contacts on the plus and minus of the battery holder?

The Triton is my #1 Choice and the charger I prefer. I'm looking into a craddle for this setup but the Quickclamp idea will work perfectly for all YOUR charging needs.

you'd definitely be able to use a triton for charging. quick clamps work great for holding onto adapters.

A pretty solid home run design for a direct drive light. I can confirm that the CBP 1650s do not output more power.. i would vote in favor of these cells and this pack over the AA size any day.

This is a reaaallly small light, just amazing. I'm not a fan of the color temp on the 623, but the reaility is.. works better outside than the whiter 625 light.. and it's robust enough to take direct drive..

love the 'brute force' solutions.. that is a really good price, also amazing. Is there space to get a PCB in at the top of the battery pack? it would be fun to make a Mag138 regulated out of one of these.

EDIT: I have a Universal Smart Charger! So everything but the Charger!

I have a real NEWB question. Are we talking about 4100 bulb lumens or off-the-lens lumens?

Yup, over 3100 output lumens and the bulb may last upto 300 hours or so! Insta strike 3100 output lumens...definitely HID territory.

How does it compare to the USL? How long does it take to start a fire or cook an egg?

Send me your USL and I'll compare them As for cooking Eggs my light is made to produce reddiculous amounts of Light and is not a stove

I can say the record of keeping your hand over the lens is around 3-4 seconds the average is around 2 seconds.
