Hey, new member, sorry if this may have been covered somewhere. I have an early model Surefire E1 and just put a new KL1 head on it and it won't work. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Fresh battery? Even with a somewhat used batttery you should get some light. Report on how you set up KL1 head on E1. Check spring in tailcap. Did it work without issues with E1 head on it? What brand batteries?
OK, good questions. It's an early E1 Executive. The one with the pocket clip attached to the head if that matters. Energeizer battery. It works with the original head. Just doesn't work with the KL1.
If it works in the original E1 configuration, it HAS to be a CONTACT problem with the new KL1, or a problem with the KL1 head itself. Do you have any other E1/E2 host bodies on which to mount the KL1, so you could narrow the problem down??
