Thumbs up CPF Pinnacles Hike (lots-o-pics)

The last night-hike was a great adventure when we blazed our own trail through the dense brush and got lost on the way back. Made for some memorable story telling.

This hike was awe inspiring. Pinnacles National Monument is just south of Hollister California, along the San Andreas Fault. It is half the remnants of a dead volcano, with the other half being way down south along the fault line some 195 miles away! Would be nice to have an excursion down there. Part Deux

During the seven hour hike(10.5 mile loop), we saw a lot of condors, at first soaring above us and then below as we got higher. What a sight! At around 10ft, these birds have the 2nd largest wingspan in the world, next to the albatross.

Thanks to Larry (Lowbat) for coordinating these good times

Anyway, here's what you guys missed on another perfect outing. And hit the F11 key for better viewing!

Absoulutely beautiful area, never saw it before, never been there - but thanks to your fantastic pics - I got to "share" it! Thank you!

Indeed there are some BEAUTIFUL places on this earth - one just needs to find them and then "see" them!
