LS AAA mod

Hi guys,

I have some new pics of Lambda's LS mod for the AAA doublebarrel. I have beam pics from the photon II, mag AA, 8AA DB, and a cheap 2C light. Pics taken with a Coolpix 990, so the color is pretty accurate.

The AAA DB mod is really great. The light is small and bright enough for just about all applications. These pictures are with the LS running at 250ma. There is a slight green tint to the light that you can see best when the LS is seen alone and not compared to a yellow incandescent bulb. This was one of the "good" white LS emitters, and not the new pea soup colored ones that we have recently been talking about.

The heatsink that Lambda made for this light realy does a good job of controlling the heat. My only mod might be to couple it to the plastic body a bit to better get the heat out of the closed area. It really wouldn't be necessary except for really extended run times. Here's where an all metal light like the maglite would be better to draw heat to the outside.
