How large is your "Dark Room"

What do I want for Christmas, why a large daylight excluded Dark Room.

The larger the better.

Then I don't have to wait for darkness.

Even a small room would help the frustration, that occurs when postie delivers your brand new torch in the morning, and you have to wait all (of a very long) day before you can try it out.

Some of you lucky people will work inside a windowless room / area, and can "play" anytime day or night.

Or even have a large room in your house, windows excluded.

Does your wife think you're wierd when you go into your Dark Room, armed with Torches?

I did once work in a photographic department, (darkroom, no space) many years ago, before my interest in illumination.

How's about a portable darkness facilitator, thinking of an opaque long dark tunnel, three feet high, that folds up when not in use.

I'm fantasizing now, only 8 hours to darkness.

Oh, excuse my failure (but spoken it sounds equal ), not a native speaker.

But the idea is so crazy, and I like it!

I got to play with my lights in a huge empty building (which is now home to a skate park and roller skating rink) and there were no windows, it was so fun! it was like a 200' by 200' DARK room!! everyone thought i was weird

duct tage and opaque plastic sheeting, and a good sized bathroom with no windows...

i know what you guys mean
i used to work in in a warehouse for a computer distributor as part of their RA department, they had a huge warehouse for the stock and our RA offices was a windowless section of the building,
the best time for me was after dark where i would feign some excuse about having to finish up some work while other left,
then i had the whole warehouse to myself, and i could play with my lights lol
but the boss knew about it and was cool, so that made it even better
i miss my old dark room

Just kidding, I have access to a large underground facility.

College Gym. But I work 12:00am to 8:00am so its allways dark outside when I'm up

I have a 4000sf photo/film studio....... goes dead dark....... 42' x 22' pure white Cyclorama Wall.

I used to think my family would think I was nuts calling the small single sink/single toilet bathroom my "testing facility"!

I don't worry now though as they all (well 4 of us) crowd in there together with me when I say we need to go to the "testing lab"!

Though only one of them is a bonafide CPFer/"Flashaholic" (JOshooter)...the wife and other son do appreciate and learn from my demonstrations and testing in the "facility"!
