How does the E1e bezel unscrew - right or left?

Ok, just to clarify I'm talking about taking the head itself apart, not taking the head off the body...

I took apart an L1 head. It was "standard" threads, not left handed. I'd expect the E1e head to be the same.

It's almost certainly secured with too much black loktite. They say heat helps the loktite give up. Try boiling it maybe?

I scratched the finish on my L1 while opening the head. If you're planning to use a 1 inch hex socket (like I did) be sure to wrap the head once or twice with some good electrical tape. That and a strap wrench probably ought to take care of it.

The reflector is integrally-machined into the head, and isn't removable. I have never encountered a SF product with a left hand thread on any of the threaded connections. You might consider a 5C collet block, and propane torch for dissassembly. They rarely come apart easily due to the sealant SF uses.
