Does L4 body fit protected 17670?

AW's 17670s work fine in my E2e body.

I am watching this closely. I thought I heard someone mention 14670 size. I almost ordered them today. Glad I waited to hear this.

Could be either be your individual cells or variation in the body bore. I have a couple of 17670's from rscanady and they fit just fine in his L4 body and in my E2e body.

I bought a protected 17670 cell from Lighthound and had to pull the outside label off the battery to get it to go in my L4. And it doesn't go in the tailcap end either you have to remove the KL4 head a put it in from the top. Kinda wierd but once i figured it out it works like a champ now.
I have Pila 168s and AWs protected 17670s, both are fine in my E2d, E2e, G2 and L4s. I'd been waiting on Jon Burlison to restock the new Pila 600s, he says the new ones are fixed to work in the Surefire lights the way the old 168s did.

My L4 mesures .678 inside.06 christmas gift.I have 4 17670's from AW and the fatest battery is .661. All my batterys fit fine.

Will they work in an L2 also?

AW's 17670 is very tight fit for SF L4 without peeling off the sticker especially on the tail 1/2" area. Tried to lubricate the battery then it works ok. just need to use a pen or sticks to push out the batter for exchanging.

indiglo has an excellent point about which end of the batt tube to load the batts through.
