How to open SF G2 window?

The lens is secured by a retaining ring which is screwed in. The retaining ring features six indentations.
Use needle nose pliers to loosen the ring by turning it counterclockwise.

Just to add a bit to the above post, I clamped the handle of my needle-nose pliers in a vise to hold the points real steady (to reduce the odds of slipping and scratching the new lens).

I use the large screwdriver blade with bottle cap opener of a SAK. Just the right length to make contact with any two opposite indentation and twist anti clockwise.
