I modded a Dorcy 3D 1 watt aluminum light to Luxeon III TX1JW star direct drive.
It pulls around 0.9A and the voltage is around 3.4v at LED using 3 AA NiMH with adapters. This is a throw monster!
If I don't need adjustable focus, this is easily better than Mag 3D with LED .
