Maglite 4cell LED module + 2 rechargeables?

Anyone try a 4cell LED Maglite module with 2x 18500 or 2x 18670 Li-ions in a 2c maglite? Any comparisons to a 4d/c alkaline performance?

i bought a niteyez led for my 4 d .sure doesnt seem that bright to me.it is white tho.. maybe i need to get used to it??.

No, it ain't that bright. I too have mine in a 4D and it should have extreme runtime!

As to the question of this thread... two Li-Ions are going to have 8.4 or more volts. While 4D are gonna be right around 6v. I should think the M*gled will either get VERY hot or go :poof:
