I never had any imaginary friends as a child, although I hear it is common. Big bird had his imaginary friend to raise awareness of the issue, but then was brought out of the closet to make the Bird more 'normal'.

We had a long discussion/argument at work over the correct pronunciation of Snufflleupagus, and a google search results in both Snuffleupagus and Snuffalufagus.

Your opinion on this matter is greatly appreciated. Please help to clarify the proper pronunciation of this character's name. I don't own any SS dvds, so if anyone has them they would be able to verify this.

Snuff, Ah, Lup, Ah, Kas.

You dont have public tv if you are in the US?

Ive never had or seen an immaginary friend. Ive seen ghosts, former relatives and other things in the ether. Most of them are 3 ft off the ground and transparant.

If you take a look at Snuffy's bio on Wikipedia, you can see a little info on the confusion surrounding the spelling of his name. According to Sesame Street's own spelling, Snuffleupagus is presumed to be the correct way.
