I follow the rule ..... one is none..... two is one......

Seems like that theory is a little short around here!!!!

In my car, 1 E1E, 1 G2, 1 SC1 with 6 CR123, 1 Red GloToob and 1 Blue GloToob.

I had a Freedom micro on my keychain and EDC a E2D.

Think I had more than enough for any one incident.

on me:
Ultrafire tactical light with 2x17670 +SF P91 for bright pocketable light.
Nuwai 5W 3x123 type- powered by 2x17500 for reliable long running medium output, serves as backup light if incan dies or drains.
usually at least 1 low output light- a 1xAA multi led or a 2xAAA low power type.. (RR)..

In the car- (latally)
modded colman flashlight (3x123>mag 6D bulb)
modded mag 2C (2x17500>6V PR bulb found at sears, works ok)
LEDbeam or Taskforce 3W- sometimes both.
Sometimes one of the spotlights (eithor thor or amondotech HID)

I like to have enough on/near me at any time that if any one of them fails, there is a backup that can serve the same duty...

Brinkmann Maxfire XL is my new primary car light.
10-LED 3AA is secondary backup/spare.
A 12V handheld spotlight with cigarette lighter plug cord, in the trunk.

I don't see a need for more than these for my given use/route.
There is also 1 or 2 lights on me.

Where do you find all the room to keep all these flashlights in the car?

I have a Lumilite cheapie 2AA in the gap between the body and the spare tire.

Gee, I keep enough that I have a hard time remembering them all.

In the passenger compartment, I've got a Mag85/951, UltraStinger, Stinger, ROP/Lo in 2D.

In the trunk, I've got a ROP/Lo in 6D (w/ 11Ah batts!), Mag 4D stock, Mag 4D w/ 3D bulb, PrincetonTec Apex headlamp, Minimag w./ nighteyes upgrade, Pelican 3C light (don't recall the model), Dorcy Super 1W LED 3D, at least one Brinkmann Legend LX, plus what's in my 72 hour kit (another Brinkmann LX + some sort of AAA LED).

Oh, yeah. And a 2D giveaway light for someone who needs a light who didn't have the forethought to plan ahead for the dark of night.

I'm going to guess I've forgotten about a couple too.

And let's not forget extra batteries and/or chargers for about all.

 Hmmmmm let's see..........

In the daily driver:
Inova X5,
Inova 24/7
Inova T3
Surefire A2 (black)
Modded Arc LS (lux III, 667 ma),
SMJLED Mag 2 x AAA (there's a built in slot on the glovebox door for a AAA diameter light)
Space Needle II
Underwater Kinetics Light Cannon
Osram Golden Dragon Lantern

In the weekend/convertible:
Inova T2
Surefire A2 (natural)
"Flex" Mag (8 level Lux III)
Lux III 2 x CR123 mod in a body I think was made by Nuwai (a thrower with a deep reflector)

Now that you've asked, I can clearly see I need to put more flashlights in the convertible ! :grin2:

I'm probably a disapointment to many folks around here as I work on the "two lights" theory. So I have the following:

On person:
- Fenix L2P on a L1P body

In laptop bag or backpack:
- Spare battery for L2P
- SureFire L1 (backup light)
- Spare battery for L1

In Car:
- me and the laptop bag or backpack :)

Thinking about upgrading from the Fenix soon and standardising on the CR123 battery size so I can interchange batteries between the L1 and my EDC. Just gotta wait for McGizmo to get back into production (Hope Maui is nice Don).

I have a Princeton Tec Matrix 2 LED headlamp. I've never used it diving (although I could), but it's a great light. It has a good beam, it never burns out, and has a decent throw and runtime for a 2 AA light.

I have a black 2C Maglite in my car with a xenon bulb and extra set of batteries and a blue 2D in my truck with same. Keep them both behind the seats.

I have a 1mcp Vector in my car and a 3mcp Dorcy spot in my truck.

I don't think I would want to keep very many expensive lights in my vehicles like some people do.

It might not be a bad idea to put some spare lithiums in each vehicle though, since I edc a surefire e2o generally.

I'll put that on the list..
