I read a couple reviews on Amazon that the Twin-Task 2L has a new switching arrangement. The old one was xenon - off - LED - off while the new one is xenon - LED - xenon - off. The new arrangement looks like a lot of clicking just to turn the thing off.

Don't put too much stock in the Amazon customer reviews. There has been confusion about the TT switch sequence even here on CPF.
If the sequence has been changed, I can see one possible advantage. The way they are now you can't tell what light you will get when you first power up, unless you remember how you left it. If the light was always off-xenon, at least you would know.

I just bought one 2 weeks ago. I am holding it right now. It is Xenon on - LED on- Xenon on, then finally off. Can't say as I really like it.

And here all along I thought my 1L switch was "broke". Mine is the same; xenon - LED - xenon - off.
