Just finished up my first UV light.

-3 Cree UV 1 Watt LEDS
-Custom Heatsink
-Tri-Optic (Flood Beam)
-18650 powered
-LEDS are Direct drive and pull 1.2 amps on a fresh cell
-Green Glow powdered heatsink

Crappy Picture but the light will make everything GLOW in the whole room from 20+ feet away :)

that output is crazy...

you should play with some Nichia 365's

Imagine a Tri-Nichia 365nm maglite. WOW! That would be pretty awesome.

WOW! But please remember eye protection. I once ran into problems from playing with a very bright UV light for too long without protection. Just from spill/reflection. Fortunately, no permanent damage.

not the 5mm? glass dome with metal case.... i have a few, paid $6 a piece.
almost no visible light, but shine it on a t-shirt and the whole thing lights up.. lol

No. I was refering to the Nichia i-LEDs and not the 5mm ones. McGizmo played with them here.
