I have an M3 that will be on its way to me in a few days as soon as the seller gets the money, and I am already considering buying a KL6 from lighthound. Great price of around 100$. I believe I once saw on McGizmos modded lights website an L6 with its body cut down to accept only 1 CR123 and I think he might have said it was stock and ran great with only 3V. Is this true? If I were to buy a KL6, would that mean I could use it with 2AAs when 3xCR123 are not available? (with some battery rattle, but really useful nevetheless)

Dangit... Well, what is the highest voltage it accepts? 12v?

The original configuration called for 3x123, but with the BadBoy 700, I think it can only take a single 123 cell.

Surefire's website states you can use the KL6 on the M3, M3T and the M4. So I guess you can say 12 volts before any load.
