I got a bargain on a Coast V2 lenser 1 watt today. The light has a pure white, bright, very useable beam with good throw and spill. Overall, the quality of the light itself is great, and even though it uses an optic of some kind, the beam is great. The drawback is the power source. It uses 3 "N" batteries.

Is there a direct replacement Li-Ion rechargeable for 3 "N" batteries in series?

i'm not sure of the exacting dimensions of an "N" cell.. (can't find it anywhere eithor).. but assuming the flashlight is designed for 3x1.5V alkalines- it should run just fine on 1 3.7V li-ion (will come fresh off charger at 4.2V)... another option, is to pick up 3 N size NIMH rechargables... can you take measurements of the inside diameter of the tube (maybe there is more room than needed for the N cells) and also measure the length of the 3 batteries combined... ... we might be able to come up with a viable solution...

ok... just found it.. they are about 28.6mm long by about 11.1mm diameter...

too bad there isn't such thing as a 11860 li-ion(unless, by some fluke of nature, there is)
