I've used Advancemart's .5 watt lights for a while now and I can recomend them for dark adapted eyes in home navigation and reading. Three of them running off 3AAA batts with no booster circuit? I'd say it's worth every penny they are charging for it ($9.99). For me that means no big deal.

I've seen deals like this on Glowbug.com and am reluctant to trust such an inexpensive, no-name light.

But I took a chance on a River Rock 1.5 watt 2AA and it seems to be a very good light. :)
