Ever since I swapped out the emitter that came with it for a TXOH (barely any tint difference, but thats' another story), it gets really hot - even if only on for a few minutes. I thought higher bins were supposed to run more efficient, thus cooler? I have it in a G2 like before but I'm starting to worry its gonna fry. Any ideas?

gets really hot? i wonder if anything is broken, like the convertor board
and the unit is in direct drive? try to check for this
the other explanation could be you have used arctic alumina and now the heat is being more efficiently removed from the LED to the body of the flashligh?
just a couple of ideas to troubleshoot
hope you find the cure or maybe its not a problem ?
