Great, now MY P1 isn't working right.

It turns on fine, but if I turn it just a bit more, it flickers, and if I keep turning it, it shuts off. It's not the battery, I tried it with a Titanium, Duracell, Surefire, and even a protected R123 li-ion, and they all do this. I know it's not related to the foam ring, because it does this even with a spacer magnet at the bottom.

Then don't turn it the bit more!

Make sure your threads are clean.

Mine did that for a while. Turn on and then an eighth of a turn more and it would go out again. I experimented with no luck and then I bit the bullet and screwed it down really tight. Worked fine after that but I wouldn't suggest it as I may have just been lucky !!
