    Default where to buy SMJLED

I"m looking to get a smjled or smilliar 5mm led.
Looking to run this on one or two button cells.
where is the best place to get the smjled?
    Thanks in advance.
What we have here is a failure to illuminate.

Lamda had them but he is sold out. You can order the un-cut version of them from The Sandwich Shoppe.
    Super MJ Led (4-die)-Uncut

There is also a similar 5 mm led produced by WahWang that CPF member Tritium had for sale. He is closing out the last of them in this thread.

Sandwich Shoppe is showing both cut and uncut SMJLEDs. He's got some of the older MJLEDs as well.

Do these work well in a coin cell light? I have a bunch of them that I was hoping to swap the LED's in.

I can let you know soon ,that is one of my plans,to replace in a coin/keychain light.Just remember they only want 3v, not 4.5v or 6v common on coin lights.

If you use a pair of CR2016 coin cells it works out well. The 2016's are so wimpy that the large voltage drop across them under load prevents them from overdriving the led.

The cut version has a wide 180º viewing angle and is suited for use with a reflector whereas the uncut version has a viewing angle of only 35º and produces a nice wide flood beam on it's own.
