Hello. I am a newbie to the flashlight world, ( I only have a Streamlight Ultrastinger, Streamlight SL 20xp led, Streamlight TL3, mini-mag, and 2 cell maglite), and was thinking about getting the Gladius for further use while on patrol. I was wandering if I would be able to put the batteries that get weak from the Gladius into a smaller flahlight with a long runtime that can run off of weaker batteries? Maybe a one cell battery? And if this is ok to do, can you give me some recommendations on a couple of long running led flashlights that will use the partially drained batteries ? Thank you very much! --Tim

Welcome to CPF, sloppyfoos!

I use the Inova X5 to do this. You should keep used batteries paired in order to avoid using batteries of different charge states together.

Hi and welcome Tim, as Carrot I too use a Inova X5 for that, it is best to keep
the cells matched up to lessen (I think) any chances of mishap. You might want to check into a sandwich for that Mini Mag a world of difference in output.

Greetings and Welcome to CPF!

Like what the others mentioned above regarding the Inova—though the output is quite dim.

Hope you find what you're looking for and Enjoy!
