I have 2D and 3D Craftsman Tool Lights (the yellow plastic ones with battery indicator lights).
I had a piece of appropriate 1" plastic pipe so I stuffed 4Cs into the 3D.
The interesting thing is about the batteries! I have a mixed bag of various alky Cs in there and it is a touch brighter than 3 fresh Ds.
I tried putting 4 Rayovac Maximums in there. It turns out they are nearly 1/8" longer than many of the other cells. Take 4 of them and we're talking an extra 1/4". They absolutely would not fit.
Now I have to find fresh Cs that aren't too long!
Oh, and that flashlight has a smooth reflector and a lense with a magnifying spot in the middle. It makes a very bright hot spot!
