Will SF E2E take CR-123a Batteries?

The E2e takes two SF123A batteries.

"CR123A" is the generic term for this size of battery.
The "SF"123A indicates it's SureFire's own brand labelled battery.

Maybe he means RCR123.. in which case, I think they put out more voltage and would probably *poof* the bulb in short order..

With my E2E and KL1 head, I use RCR123A cells. They work great and save a truckload of money. I think the regular incandescent bulb and unregulated rechargeable batteries would not be a happy marriage.

Even the regulated 3V rechargeables seem to burn out the bulbs more quickly according to some people's observations.

A stock SF E2e woudln't do too well with RCR123's. It would blow the bulb right away. If you want to use rechargeables. Try to find fivemega's thread in the group buy section about the rechargeable kit.
