Would the SMJLED PR bulb be a nice upgrade for my 2XAA mini maglite?

I figure since this bulb was only $5 why not throw it in my mini mag, unless you guys think its a bad idea..

How do I do the mod?

Any info on this would be great.

The PR bulb will not fit in a Mini Mag because the Mini Mag uses a bi-pin bulb.
The PR is a larger size bulb like the one found in the larger Mag lights (C and D cell models).
Hope this helps,
Pat

I know but cant I drill out the reflector and mod it for this bulb to work? Or would that be pointless for the amount of light it would put out?

The bi pin bulb has two exposed pins that fit in the sockets on the mini, while the PR bulb has a metal flange base that will not fit in to the sockets.

Don't know if any are available right now, but Lambda has the regular SMJLED that plugs right in the bi-pin socket. You only drill the reflector.

He also has a couple of kits - one with the led, drilled reflector and UCL and another with a new MM drilled for the 20mm reflector, the reflector, the smjled and a couple of lith batts. Best deal going. Great light for the $$'s.

I haven't checked, but I know he's moving, so this stuff might not be available right now. Worth waiting for tho.
