Check out the Braised Barbecue Spare Ribs recipe at wegmans.com. I've made this many times and people ask what restaurant I get my ribs from. This make amazingly good ribs and is incredibly simple to prepare.

BTW, if you can't get the Wegmans Memphis Style BBQ Sauce, try the Dinosaur Barbecue Sauce (also kinda regional) or any good smokey Memphis style sauce. As for the beer, any will work, while I prefer something like Yeungling Black & Tan. If you don't want to either use or "waste" a beer, a can of beef broth will also work.
