Runtime: 5 hours 53 minutes.

I don't have a light meter, however its well established here that SL 4AA PP Luxeon is fully regulated and NiMHs themselves have a relatively flat voltage. I logged the voltage at batteries to determine the time it takes until the voltage plummets down.

Re: Streamlight 4AA Luxeon runtime plot with 2500mAh NiMH

Good work Handlobraesing:)

I use Energizer 2500s in mine. I wonder how it will perform with the lastest Sanyo 2700s? Probably not worth upgrading.

I did a runtime on some Sanyo/Energizer 2500mAh Ni-MH cells a while back. Pretty much exactly 5 hours to 50%

Your Kodak cells also bear the HR stamp so they're the same Sanyo cells too.

I've been wanting to do some with my new 2650's, so maybe I'll get around to that.

I'm curious how it would do with Energizer e^2 alkalines. According to Energizer datasheet, their standard alkaline delivers ~1400mAh at 500mA while the e^2 delivers ~1800mAh, so theoretically, I should be able to get close to one extra hour using the e^2, although I don't think I'm going to try that experiment, because Energizer e^2. I'm gonna try with Ultralast batteries though.

The problem with NiMH is that you basically have to start using them fresh off the charger. Let them sit around for 10 days and they lose around 500mAh, then slowly begins to lose about 0.5% per day.

I can also agree that these Duracell 2650's are the best nimh batteries i've bought so far. They out perform Sanyo 2700's & Accupower 2900's. The best part is they cost <$2 each!

Where are you guys buying your 2650s? I heard Wal-Mart had them, and I think I have seen them at one, but I can't seem to find them now.

I have Energizer 2500s right now and I think these would be a good upgrade.

I got mine at Walmart. $15.87 for 8 or $9.83 for 4. The 8 pack was the better deal. Another CPF member stated he got his at the Home Depot for around the same price.
