Hi everyone,

I am wanting to buy Maglite 3D bored host only. Silver or blue in color. I need it to be quad bored to fit my 8AA-3D adapter.

Or does anyone know who can do it so i can send it & pay for their labor?

I will need 2 hosts bored.

8aa -3D?

9x AA to 3D does not need boring.

Do you mean 12aa to 3D? If so boring is required for larger cells.

Sorry, I ment just a simple bore job. Just to fit my 8AA adapater into my 3D. Im just going to run regular AA nimAh.

I'm confused, all the 8 AA adapters I've seen were for 2 D cell lights, not 3 Ds. Whatcha putting in the extra space?

But why would you do that when you can use a 2D and not need a spacer? :touche:

Sorry, Im using a 3D with a copper spacer dummy. I wanted to keep this host because i may upgrade to Mag85 someday.

Just use a 9AA to 3D holder with a dummy AA and when you are ready to go Mag 85 put a regular cell in place of the dummy.

Do you mean that you are currently using an 8AA-2D battery adapter plus a dummy D cell?

Wanting to have the flexibility to upgrade to a brighter light is a good reason for a seemingly odd battery arrangement for a while.
