What's the latest and greatest LED recently? Bang for buck, that kind of thing. Photos get extra credit. :)

What type of batteries you want to use?
Do you prefer runtime or sheer brightness?
Do you care for rechargeables?
What is your intended use for the light?
Are multiple stages/modes useful for you?
Are you looking for custom stuff or production items?

I'm serious, there are so many options these days. Check out flashlightreviews.com new "top picks" - maybe there's something there that interests you.

In response to greenLED:

CR123s are fine.
I prefer sheer brightness. I've got lights for runtime already. Blind me, baby!
Rechareables are fine.
My intended use is recreational, and hunting firefires.
Multiple stages I am not interested in. Well, a dim/bright feature is useful.
Probably prefer production over custom in order to keep price down.

I`ve been gone a long time too. Since 2004. Saw a Magled light and made me come back here for more wallet punishment. So far, the ones that have shocked me are the Fenix L0P and the L2T. Oh, and the fact that ARC co. is back in business after being sued by Mag all those years ago...and under the same name. I would suggest a hard look at the Fenix line up. They seem to be cranking out great stuff quick.
