I finally got my first Surefire, a 6p. An awesome light. :)
I would like to put the digilight DRB-9VHP lamp in it with rechargeables. I was wonder which ones and where to get them?

Thanks for your help Brett.

Go with Powerizer RCR123's. Batteryspace.com has them. SilverFox has tested them and they handle heavy loads quite well. They are unprotected LiIon batteries, so monitor them closely. When light begins to dim, shut it down and reload. Charge the cells fairly soon if the voltage goes under 3 volts, each cell.

I have been using the rcr123s I got off of ebay with that setup and they work quite well. I get a runtime of 35 min and you could go for another 5 or 7 or so but they are unprotected so I shut her down, by the way I have another one of the Digilight .8 draw brand new if you are interested in it. 22 shipped.

Just do a search for surefire on ebay and the batteries I mentioned will show up, they are 3.00 a piece and well worth it IMHO.

I use AWs protected 123s with no trouble with my lamp, and my lamp is the 1.2a version.

No need to double tap.
