With the roof rack and luggage carrior I can get as bad as 23mpg around town, and without that on the highway it goes up to 29 or better some tanks.

I'm pretty happy with it.

15-18 in the truck.

Even with gas prices the way they are, I still think it is worth the extra $$ to drive a large vehicle that can haul lots of stuff, pull cars out of snowbanks and drive in a foot and a half of snow.

I get 21mpg average in my BMW 540i. The UK also has the worlds most expensive fuel :xyxgun: and I insist on using Shell optimax. (Premium grade 98 RON fuel available in europe). Needless to say, I try not to use my car as much as possible.

If you put Mrs. Bigiron's Prius in the bed of your Dodge and drove it around, she would get a zillion miles per gallon. Just a thought.

cheers

technically since the prius wheels wouldn't be moving, you couldn't do much of a MPG calculation. now if you TOW it behind the dodge...

nissan 200sx - 33 mpg
not too shabby for a 10 year old gutless car?

'97 Honda Civic, automatic, 35.5 mpg... Mostly highway driving, though. Just bought it recently (105k miles) because I got fed up with the high gas prices and a 17 mpg Jeep Grand Cherokee. Still have the Jeep, just don't drive it near as much.

I'm a compulsive data hog as far as car data. I've got every little
piece of data for the last 12 years!

Last week I went nuts with my honda accord 4dr 2001 ex, driving
like a looney without a brain.

I got 18.5mpg
average 23.6mpg
max 33mpg
min 17.3

Our 1995 minivan toyota previa LE (2.4l supercharged)
average 17.9mpg
max 24.1mpg
min 14.8mpg

:D

1997 Jeep Cherokee Sport 16 city / 20 Highway, regular as clockwork. I use public transit though so the Jeep only really gets used when we go camping.

Wife's Mazda Protoge 5... 23ish city / 31ish highway (hers changes by up to 4 mpg though we can't figure out why).

Miss my Daewoo though, 26 city and 36 highway on a regular basis. Never did quite figure out why that car was so especially fuel efficient for it's type.

5.5 litres/100 km (that's around 43 MPG for Yanks) in a 13 year old hatchback (no, it's not a VW diesel).

Looks like the only 4-wheeler to beat that is a Prius.
