Okay, I have a 6D that I used to make a ROP and now I also have a KIU socket.

I've been wondering what bulb could I use with 6 NiMh D-cells (7.2V) that could/should be brighter than a ROP HI.

Is there such a bulb?

I was going to make a 4D, KIU socket, WA1183 light but now I eyeballing the 6D wondering what if............

I dont have any parts but I have wanted to make a 6 C Or D Light for ages.

The things that have put me off are risk of instaflashing lamps, and also a little unsure about high current drain lights, since I have seen the threads on exploding cells.

Is there an easy way to regulate these lights to take some of the risk out.
