How to remove a laynard ring from an L1?

Sorry if this has already been covered I did try to search but the search function seems to be down.

Can anyone link me to a howto guide on how to remove it. (pictures are a bonus)

There are some posts related to this and I was having trouble find them.

I don't know if it's recommended to use a knife blade, but here's what I did. Using the small blade of my swiss army knife, I gently pushed it between the split in the lanyard ring until it opened. The lanyard ring is two halves which connect together.

Never done it myself, but I've read that you need to pry the two parts of the lanyard ring apart. Insert a fine-tipped screwdriver in between the two parts and pry out. At least that's what I remember... :thinking:

I used the fine screw driver blade on my Leatherman Squirt P4

And gently pryed it apart.
