CABELA\'s suddenly sees the light(s) !

Up until the current catalog Cabela's, the giant outdoor specialists have been behind the times lightwise with a few exceptions.

See how that has suddenly changed!

$29.99 for an Brinkman LX is a quite steep.
$19.99 for an PT attitude is a bit much too.

It seems to me that the important idea is that one of the world's biggest suppliers of camping, hunting and outdoor gear is taking a more sophisticated look at flashlights. We Flashaholics often decry "light-ignorance" among the general public. Anything that helps to raise awareness and enable the "great unwashed" to see the light, so to speak, is to be encouraged and applauded.

Only one question: if general flashlight sophistication becomes widespread, do we lose our "specialness"?

Daniel,

I've bought from Cabela's over the years also; not nearly as much as you, but enough to agree wholeheartedly. They really are a first rate operation.

Best regards,
