Homemade RGB led mood light (+how-to)

Hi all,

Having seen some commercial colour fading lamps i decided to make one my own. I made it with high power leds and used a plastic case in a pyramid shape.
Here are some photo's:

I used RGB leds and a PIC 16F628 microcontroller to generate the colours with pulse width modulation. I also added a dip switch to control different modes of operation. This was my first attempt on such a project and i must say the result is nice.

Very cool project. You should think about offering a kit for sale to CPF'ers.
I think you be surprised on how much interest CPF members would have in purchasing one. Most of us love DIY projects.

I just saw this at hackedgadgets.com, very cool:goodjob:. I was thinking about doing somthing like that using a 4040 12-stage ripple-carry binary counter/divider.
