After some resrearch Im convinced there are no simple drop-in LED solutions for a 6D mag without the use of dummy cells to lower the Vin...

Anyone have experience is modding this light?

it can be modded like any other mag, just need some sort of regulator depending what you want to put in it.

The search function will yield many many mag modding threads

I'd mod using a Hotlips-D heatsink... or perhaps the O-sink, which is clearly Hotlips-inspired... and use some sort of step-down converter in your light. There's plenty of reference material here on CPF... but if you'd rather have someone else build out your light, PM me!

Good luck with the project! It's not a terribly difficult build and the results are very satisfying. :)
