Same circuit, different LED. Left is the result of what happens when you change a dimly visible red indicator LED with an InGaN green LED. Drive current is actually slightly reduced, because at higher forward voltage, the circuit can't provide as much current. The power input went up maybe 25% due ti an increase in forward voltage, but the output went from dimly lit to too bright to look at it.
Just because your new Fauxeon light is 7W doesn't mean its going to be brighter than a proper emitter, 3W
