Hi
I've been following these boards for the last few days. Never thought buying a flashlight would be so complicated.
I noticed in Yukon Jacks Infinity test that the Original White Led lasted well over a 100hrs, What does he mean the original white led? Is this the Infinity Ultra made by Gerber today?
Does the Gerber Infinity have the Nichia Cs Led?
What do you mean when you say the spill of the IV?(Better Throw?)
For me the choices in Fenix are the L1T($40) or the Civictor($30Canadian)
These both do not have great battery life compared to the Inova X1($40Canadian) or the Gerber Infinty Ultra($32Canadian)
As I said earlier in my post I'm looking for a good reliable light for everyday use that has great batterylife,is built to last ,takes regular aa/aaa batteries and is bright in total darkness and still bright when its not totally dark. I go camping very little. Its a light to carry in the car, have around the house or in my pocket. What just occurred too me on a scale of 1-10 re brightness how would the above lights rate in your opinion?
The Gerber Infinity Ultra isn't as nice looking as the Inova X1 but appears to have better battery life and is shorter.
Have I missed anything?
Welcome your feedback.
Thanks
Greg Joplin
PS With the Gerber or the Inova I would have no problem returning them in BC but the Fenix is only available in Saskatoon Sask. in Canada which is quite a few milies away.
