From what I have read I can take an E2D, an Ecan from the shoppe, a K2, and a aleph tailcap to put together my dream light?

Would all these be compatible?

The Ecan will not fit in a E-series head.
You need a Aleph head for that.

Another alternative is to punch a .750" hole all the way through the head, chase the 13/16"x20 threads a bit further into the head with a tap and then install a light engine with a McR18 or IMS 17. I think the mod HERE inspired the E-screw/ES-Can seen in its infancy HERE which evolved into a new set of heads which became the start of the Aleph series. There has been a lot of aluminum consumed since then so my memory may be off but I think this is correct.

AW, just to make things clear that is an unmodified E-Sink installed in a E2D with bored out reflector?

I'm trying to plan this mod out perfectly before I start wasting money on the wrong parts...

Okay so here we go on the shopping list:

E2D Head
Fraen Narrow
K2
E-Sink
DB1000
E2x Body
McClicky Switch
McTC Tailcap Natural (w/boot)

RCR123 Kit

Does anyone see any incompatibilites with my plan?
