I had been EDC a E2D in my pant/jean pocket for about a year. Usually on weekend, I will put the E2D under a tap to flush away the lint collected next to the rubber boot and apply some lube on the O-ring and screw threads. During the past year, I had use several type of lube, including 779 & 759.
Last Saturday, I noticed that there was a big lump of grease in the tailcap. Dismantle the tailcap, which is similar to Z57, and clean up the mess.
My advise is to wipe off the old grease before you apply a new coat of grease on your O ring and thread, to prevent any grease buildup and gummed up your tailcap.
