Hi Folks,
I was doing some digging about the other day, trying to find suitable MR16 bulbs for my project (3D m~g into some sort of killing machine) when I came across these:

MR16 LED REPLACEMENTS

LDI550131 20 LED MR16 .75w White £48.40
LDI550134 20 LED MR16 1.55w Yellow £16.90
LDI550136 20 LED MR16 .85w Red £16.90
LDI550135 20 LED MR16 .82w Green £43.00
LDI550137 20 LED MR16 .75w Blue £37.20

See here for details.

They look very interesting, VERY low voltage and will fit in a mag head...

Anyone got any ideas for these:

It isn't VERY low voltage, it is still 12 volts I bet. You would still have the problem of getting 12 volts out of your 3d mag. Yes, it CAN be done with stuffing 4AA's in the space of a D, but it isn't easily done. I fit 12 AA's in a 2D light only to have every one of them fail because one or two shorted out. When inserting them plastic gets ripped off and shorts the batts, so my light worked maybe 20 minutes before I lost all 12 batts. These would be a lot more helpful to you if they WERE low voltage, but they wouldn't be real bright. .75 watts is less than a single LS driven to specs. How about you simply drive your LS off of your 3D mag? Would be brighter and a lot cheaper.

Those colored MR16's would be brigher only if you WANT a color as an incandescent isn't very effective in putting out blue or green light.
