Hi belyo,
Slick has, read about it in this thread:
Reflections on the McFlood - beam shotz .

Originally posted by Slick:
In my tests I tried an SE, batwing, and lambertian emitter. The SE thew an even wider flood than the batwing, but with artifacts. The batwing is my favorite as it makes a smooth, even disk of light with a corona, The lambertian exhibited a beam similar to the batwing, but also included a slightly pronounced hotspot. You won't have to waste lux on diffusive lens coatings with the McFlood either.

To be a bit more specific on the use of an SE with the McFlood, I have to say that this combination will yeild some beam artifacts that show the "way the SE" emits light. The batwing was smoothest, with the Lambertian running second.

This is not to say the combination won't work or isn't useful. For someone who needs a light to work inside of small spaces (like TV's or PC's), this would work just great. However, my recommendation would be to try the batwing first, then decide if you want something that produces even a wider beam.
