Any body good with engine stuff?

A friend of mine ask me to look something up on the web for him. I can't find it so I thought one of you guys could help.

He needs to know what the intake and exhaust valve clearance should be on a 1.9L chevy S-10.

Any help will be appreciated..

A 1.9 in an S-10 was supposed to be a California only engine, built by Isuzu (and used in the Isuzu Hombre p/u truck). I think it was only used for a year or so.

Are you sure it isn't a GMC 2 liter?

I don't have any valve clearence info off the top o' my head, but I do remember that engine not being to best engineered.

I'll be over at his house later today and I'll check the engine to see if it's a 2.0L.

I think rule of thumb is 10 for the intake and 12 for the exhaust. Too much is better than too less.
