I have a star o mod that I would like to remove the emitter and use it in a new mod. Can this be done safely? Any and all advice appreciated.
Can an emitter be removed from a StarO luxeon???

carefully score thebackof the board with a hack saw about 1/2 the depth. Then use pliers to bend the board backwards and use a sharp knife to "peel" away the emitter. Cut away the optics holder first and be sure to unsolder the leads first.
