2x123, pocketclip, 5watt, 2stage??

similar to Sodaka,
been lost touch waaaaay to much..
as title suggested,
looking for an upgrade from my QIII
i wan more light + more throw..
so i am looking at a 5watter,
pocketclip is a MUST, and i need the 2 stage..
of cos, the U2 is a dream light with a dream price.
i don't think i am ready to pay that price for an edc.
and suggestion guys? help me pls..

He's already got the QIII 2 stage switch so all he needs to do it get the 2cell Nuwai 5w 301X-5 led (basicly a big QIII 5watt) and switch out the switch so he has a 2 stage light. Not more that $75 bucks with shipping less if he can fine one in B/S/T section.

He means a 'Nuwai' (The Brand name varies) model TM-301X-3.

Acutally I meant the Model TM301X-5 and switch out the QIII tail cap for the 301X-5 tailcap as he wanted a 2 stage light.

Surefire L2. Not a lot more money for what you get, and the switch will actually work. I tried swapping the 2 stage 301X-3 two stage to my Q3 and the low didn't work at all.

my Q3 is a single stage, or u mean the 5 watter is a 5watt?
how is the throw and brightness of that guy?
is a Q3 looking light but longer rite?

Hello Spidey

I'm sceptical, if your expectation of a thrower could meet with a LuxV light in your price range.

I know none where I would say that's a thrower. Some with more and others with less throw, but a thrower?

I would stay at the LuxIII way and try to get one with a larger reflector. Like an HD45 or Aleph3. But it costs a little more.

Perhaps this one could fulfill your needs:

The L2, if it weren't so stupid long, would be my ideal pocket light.
Actually, if the L1 had 3+ watt output while keeping its dual-stage, I'd be set.

Oh well. Looks like I get to hunt for a HDS XRGT...

How about a HDS U60 ? It has 4 levels with 20 to choose from, SOS, Strobe function and most important pocket clip with a lanyard attachment. IMHO its the best pocket light available for all usage, :grin2:
