New Member\'s homemade light

Hi all.

Just thought I would post a pic of my homemade light.

Main details are 35W,6V, 2.5 degree sealed beam lamp/reflector coupled to a 6V motorcycle battery with an uprated switch to handle the current.
Runs for about 18mins.

It's all housed in a cheap torch housing(the lamp fits perfectly and is a push fit)

It's pretty useless at close range as the beam is so narrow but as a distance light it is superb.

If there are power failures in the airports in your area, you could always volunteer your services

My M6 is brighter but this thing has a longer throw.(and i can recharge it!)

Next project will be an aircraft taxi light-could be interesting. Biggest problem is generating the 28volts required.
